STOP PRESS In 2009 Dinosaurs were in the press again. The Isle of Wight got there first by several million years! Dinosaurs lived here then, and there is a serious Dinosaur Museum opened in 2001 where dinosaur research is carried out, and there are many interesting exhibits. Dr Steve Sweetman has published his findings over the last four years from work largely carried out at Yaverland, which is in the centre of the view at the top of this page
